Watching grass grow...

Well, I realise that I don't make for very interesting blog posts at the moment. But there's nothing I can do about that. I still post just so that it's clear I haven't forgotten or neglected this blog but there's not much to say at the moment :(

The Agency are responding to emails but not actually sending any out without prompting which means they don't have much to say either. Basically, they say they are in contact with the DCL recruiter everyday but she has no information on start dates yet and basically, to sit tight. I personally think they've over-recruited now and it's a one in, one out type of thing. It's been 11 weeks since I got the job so it's getting more than a little frustrating right now. Luckily I have Rob to chat to as he's in the same boat (no pun intended!) as me, waiting for a date... as well as Tyler who is also waiting for a date from Canada too.

I popped to Florida for 10 days (as you do!) and whilst I was there, FINALLY managed to get a plain pair of white trainers with no colours or logos on them from the Keuka SureGrip website. This was the place we got our work shoes at Disney in Food and Beverage because they had to be non-slip... the downside is that the website only ships to the USA so I couldn't order them to here. They were only $20 and arrived about 4 days after buying them to Nick's address. It was a fabulous vacation which I booked less than 48 hours before flying (fantastic adrenaline rush haha) and I really didn't do that much except enjoy the sunshine, go to the water parks a couple of times and Disney for 1.5 days... just chilled out. It was amazing.

Okay, well back to the waiting game. I do have an interview in a couple of days for a part-time job which is listed as temporary although I'm sure I'll find out exactly what that means when I go there! Maybe it will be something to just keep me busy and earn me some much-needed monies though!

Another week over...

Well, another week of waiting has come and gone. I've had my CRB form back from the Government (after a slight mishap in which The Agency didn't note down they'd received it, making me think it had got lost in the post... thankfully it hadn't) and had my test results from the medical so I know I am 100% ready to go now.

The waiting is driving me mad... I've started doing my CRP scrapbook to keep my busy which has been very successful so far. And I've taken up regular exercise in order to get out of the house on occasion. I've even started watching the ITV drama Bad Girls from Series 1 in order to pass the time (there's 8 series so that should keep me reasonably busy). I'm trying not to pig out on Easter chocolate because this lack of activity is not good for my health!!

Basically, there's nothing to report. I wish there was. There's all sorts of rumours flying around about how many people have quit and aren't going back for their next contract, Disney pushing contracts back, ships being full, ships being understaffed... basically, nobody knows anything.

It's been two months today since my interview so fingers crossed I'll hear something next week.
