AHHHHH! The day has FINALLY come!!! I'm so excited to announce I finally got my start date - I will be flying to Florida on July 18th to join the Disney Dream on July 21st!!!!!
Okay so today has been a strange day! It all started around midday when I got an email from Marc at the Agency saying "Hi Catherine, we have received your CV and would like to discuss opportunities with Disney Cruise Line with you, please could you provide me a contact number". I was like... er.... what?! So I emailed back giving him my number but explaining how I'd already been interviewed and offered a role in Merchandise. Then my mum shouts up to me from downstairs to tell me that a message got left on the home landline from a guy called Marc... saying the exact same thing. So a quick call to the Agency solved the mystery - somehow my CV had been printed again from file (that I sent back in about September 2012) and ended up in the potential interviewees pile. Oops. He told me that he would talk to Caroline (the manager) and Disney and figure out what was taking so long.
Well, it seems he must have given a boost to someone because I got an email at 5pm (on a Friday afternoon, no less!) from Caroline offering me the role!! Obviously I replied yes straight away and then rejoiced with my Mum and Hayley who happened to be at my house watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows with me!
At 7pm I got a phone call from Marc telling me the same information and that apparently Caroline must have been working from out of the office because he didn't realise that she'd already emailed me. He told me that I should get details from Disney tonight or Monday about flights and paperwork and everything.
I'm SO EXCITED!!!
